We're hiring to fill a postdoc postdoc position to work with UCLA's Congo Basin Institute and the Forest Ecosystems & Global Change Lab in Cameroon on tropical forest restoration, land system science, and remote sensing. The position will be hosted at UCLA with frequent travel to Cameroon. See here for more details.
The Ordway lab welcomes applicants of any career stage interested in addressing pressing problems in global change ecology using remote sensing, field measurements, socioeconomic datasets, and modeling.
Prospective undergraduate students: Undergraduate students interested in assisting and leading research related to global change ecology are encouraged to contact me directly (elsaordway [at] ucla.edu). Please include a one paragraph statement about your research interests in your email.
Prospective graduate students: I am not accepting new graduate students at this time. Please check back in 2024 and contact me directly (elsaordway [at] ucla.edu) if you are interested in joining UCLA as a Master's or PhD student. The UCLA Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology application deadline is typically in early December. I encourage prospective students to contact me well before the admissions deadline, around August or September, to start a conversation.
